Preparations of Caribbean Tourist Exchange (BTC)

The XXIII Caribbean Tourist Exchange (BTC) will continue to be the platform where unconventional tourist options have space and are promoted, so more than 100 national and international exhibitors will participate in this Edition, among them, local and regional tour operators, said Luis Felipe Aquino, President of the BTC.

Preparations for the Stock Exchange will take place at the Convention Center of the Dominican Fiesta Hotel, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, from June 27thto 29th.

During his meeting with the press on the occasion of the announcement of this commercial event, Aquino referred to the interest of continuing to promote Santo Domingo as a cultural, religious, gastronomic and meeting tourist destination, because that Caribbean nation not only offers the modalities of sun and beach.

In order to accomplish this, the XXIII Caribbean Tourist Exchange (BTC) will hold the first Latin American Congress of Religious Tourism, which attracts visitors interested in discovering destinations identified as sacred places and sanctuaries.

Also, there will be the Gastronomic and Cultural Fair of Mexico that will include the Taco Festival and the Tequila Tasting; and there will be a series of conferences on interesting topics by national and international speakers.

These include the development and impact of accessible tourism, which will be spoken by the architect AdisOzuna; the Paths of Faith in the Dominican Republic, taught by the architect Maribel Villalona; the promotion of a destination of religious tourism from integrated communication, spoken by the journalist Miguel Cabrera from Argentina.

The program also includes the Interpretation of Heritage as a tool for the management of religious tourism, by the architect Orlando José Oraque Pérez, from Mexico; the innovation and impact of the development of smart tourist destinations (smart Cities) and humanizing professional brands and organizations in the digital age, by the coach Astrid Encarnación.

The XXVIII Caribbean Tourist Exchange will be open to the public on June 28th and 29th from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
