Biografía:
Santa Ana, 1908 Pedro Geoffroy Rivas was educated in Mexico as an anthropologist and linguist. His work marks a steppingstone in his country. A rebel, individualist and quasi-anarchist poet, the artist mirrors his own bourgeois background. He incorporated freedom of speech to his poetry almost openly, without any feat whatsoever to prosaic terms and anthropocentric quirks. His works are heavily influenced by Neruda (Chile). However, there are time in which Rivas brings the feeling of having a more personal style, with a more lucid poetry and the emotive presence of an artist who knows how to get his own message across.
