Biografía:
Havana, 1901 This actress began her career as a member of the amateur group of performance, which carried out popular plays of that time and made tours through the country, including presentations in prisons. When her children Vicente and Raquel Revueltas became popular actors, they talked her about Brecht, Grotowsky, y Stanislavsky and they explained her the work they were carrying out, and it was precisely them, who took her again to a stage, when she was 58 years old, as part of the Mundo de Cristal cast, by the dramatist Tenesse Williams and directed by Vicente. From that date and on, she began a theater career where she played several roles. She made her debut in the movies with the film Las 12 sillas by Tomas Gutierrez Alea. Her spectrum as actress allowed her to play kind and funny grandmothers, just like in Se permuta or Los pajaros tirandole a la escopeta, as well as complicated and dramatic society ladies such as Doña Herminia en Amada. She died in 1998.
