Biografía:
His artistic career began in amateur groups of the MINFAR and Youth Brigades. In 1962, he entered, as professional, to the theater group Rita Montaner. Years later, in 1968 he joined the group Los Doce and, in 1969, to the Studio Theater where he remained until 1983, when he joined the Buscon group. Since 1963 to our days, he is part of the Agency of Stage Arts of the Culture Ministry. He has received several courses of specialization, such as performance seminars with Adela Escartin, Vicente and Raquel Revuelta, J. Valencia and Jose Antonio Rodriguez. During his professional formation an important role was played by the work he carried out directed by the Czech Lubos Pistorius and the training received in Moscow with the director Liubimov of the Taganka group. His career as theater actor has been successful and productive: he has played more than 80 works of the best from the Cuban and universal theater, directed by our most prestigious personalities of the theater. The television has became him into a quite popular and admired actor due to his remarkable performances in soap operas such as Magdalena, Entre mamparas, Si me pudieras querer and Las huerfanas de la Obrapia. His presence in Cuban movies has been remarkable since 1965, when he act in the film Soy Cuba, Cuban-Soviet coproduction directed by Mijail Kalatazov. This actor has also act in Bulgaria, URSS, RDA, RFA, Spain, Portugal, Venezuela and Brazil.
