Amerindians or American natives were the first ever to cook Pepperpot as a way of preserving food.

Today it’s cooked as a stew. It looks like round pasta, resembling tamales (a mass of meat-stuffed ground cornmeal wrapped around in maize leaves and dipped in boiling water)
