The International Gastronomic Tourism Show "Xantar", founded 20 years ago, concluded in Ourense, Spain, after completing an extensive program with the participation of 283 exhibitors from 12 countries and Brazil as guest nation of honor.
Brazil participated through the Prefecture de Foz do Iguaçu, which strengthened the strategy of the show to promote cooperation with Latin America also thanks to the assistance of professionals from countries such as Cuba and Panama. Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia and Peru.
The edition of the only international gastronomic tourism show in Spain offered a program of activities with more than 200 gastronomic experiences, which were followed by more than 7,000 participants, mostly from the sector.
There were live cooking exhibitions with renowned chefs from Galicia, Portugal, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru, Brazil and Colombia, as well as around 25 commented tastings of products such as wine, liqueurs, cheeses, honey, rum or coffee.
It included lectures by experts and tastings included in the "XIV International Meeting on Sustainable and Healthy Gastronomy".
Xantar 2019 has once again enjoyed the loyalty of professionals in the sector and also of the general public from Galicia, Portugal and neighboring provinces, which fulfills the show's objective of promoting local tourism through gastronomy.
