Social networks constitute a trend that is increasingly gaining space and in the sphere of tourism they are recognized as very effective allies.

Not only Facebook, WhatasApp, Youtube and Twitter are among the most used, but now Instagram has positioned itself in a privileged place.

Having a public profile on Instagram, with continuously updated photos and short texts that attract attention, is already a fever among followers, hence experts point out how this boom threatens to force the entire tourism industry to adapt itself to a consumer eager to exhibit itself.

The exhibition of pleasures and singularities is shown as a trend among travelers, who continually upload images of the places they travel, what they eat and the type of accommodation, so hotels, travel agencies, tourist destinations and modalities should complete this enjoyment the tourist feels to expose everything, including selfies.

This era of technologies makes possible a virtual approach and according to the tourism directors, Instagram is widely used by millennial travelers, those young people born in the 90's who arrived to this century pervaded by the use of Internet and who cannot do without their mobile, tablet, laptop and their inclusion in social networks.

They enjoy putting a referential post of Tourist Destinations they visit, which becomes an excellent marketing policy that is totally free and in favor of tourism, because these promotions make the desire of potential travelers grow.

The directors of this sphere should not overlook the possibility of advertising, so they should pay more attention to this network, to learn how to position themselves with this sector and offer a technological and personalized experience to such travelers.

Although years ago Twitter and Facebook were the favorite social networks for millennials, with time and today Instagram treads hard, and not only in Spain, Europe, but in Latin American countries.

The profiles in this social network of young people between the ages of 20 and 31 stand out for creating a direct link with their followers, letting them know what is in the trend or what they suggest as something completely visual and attractive.
