Chalatenango, 1937 Roberto Armijo's work is encased in the purest lyricism. In other fields of knowledge, he gets the message of reality across in a fast and straightforward way. A case in points is his array of essays, like one he once wrote about poet Ruben Dario, another one of Rodriguez Ruiz and a third about Francisco Gavidia. He also wrote some plays. He taught Latin American Literature at the University of Paris. Despite his many published works, he's got some unedited pieces.
