Antonio Augusto de Lima

Año Nacimiento:
1860-1934
Biografía:
Antonio Augusto de Lima represented a conservative trend within the 20th-century Brazilian literature. He broke free from formal patterns and strict topics dictated by former century's writers and poets. Among his poetry compilations, "Symbols", "Contemporary and Lauded" and "Saturday Nights" are the most outstanding ones. The taste he acquired for romantic patterns also made him try his hand at plays and a case in point is "Tirandentes".
