Biografía:
This actress has six decades of performance experience and more than a thousand works in her repertoire. Her professional work includes several genres from the operetta and the traditional Spanish operetta to the modern theater, also including the light comedy, musical revue, cabaret, classic drama, radio, the movies and the television. She made her debut in 1938 in La Comedia theater with the traditional Spanish operetta "El asombro de Damasco", directed by Antonio Palacios. In 1939 she began her movie career, which she consolidated in Mexico from 1944 and on. She one of the founders of the Cuban television where, since 1952, she made lyric, dramatic and humorous programs which gave her the fame and popularity she currently has. She has acted in stages of different countries: United States, Venezuela, Honduras, Puerto Rico, Spain, Soviet Union, Bulgary, Rumany, Germany, Hungary and Poland. In spite of her large artistic career, she hasn`t retired from the artistic circle and she continues participating in tours, events and TV and theater programs. Her last film is still in the edition process.
