Havana, 1965 His work as actor began in an amateur group when he was studying in High School. In 1987 he was invited by the Arte Popular group where he acted in "Perra Vida", play which opened the gates of the professionality to him. His career in the theater was enriched with the participation in important plays of the Cuban and international stage along with the groups "El Publico" and "Rita Montaner". He has played the lead in several TV series, such as "Shiralad" and "Retablo Personal" which gave him popularity. The movie "Fresa y Chocolate", by the director Tomas Gutierrez Alea, made him popular in the big screen and it made him the most international of the Cuban actors.
