Santa Clara This actress began her professional activity when she joined as singer, actress and dancer to the cast of the Musical Theater of Havana, in 1962, year when she made her debut in the movies with the Cuban-French film El Otro Cristobal directed by Armand Gatti. She simultaneously went on his her theater and movie career playing the lead in film such as Lucia, Memorias del subdesarrollo and La primera carga al machete; while she obtained a remarkable success in plays such as La casa de Bernarda Alba, Los Dias de la guerra and Santa Camila de Havana Vieja. She has worked in more than 50 theater plays. Her movie career took her abroad and she acted in films in Mexico, the Soviet Union and Peru. She joined the television where she has played roles in theaters, teleplays and soap operas such as El Chino, Pasion y Prejuicio, La otra cara, No parqueo, Ana and other. She has participated in several international movie festivals in Moscow, Karlovy Vary, San Sebastian, Biarritz, Huelva, Bogota, Amiens o Nantes and in international events such as culture weeks in Europe and Brazil.
