Biografía:
Havana, 1936 He studied Trade and Radio Electronics and, in 1960, he began to work in the ICAIC Production Assistant and same year he joined the ICAIC Latin American News as Producer and, later, coordinator of it. He made some notes for the ICAIC news, which allowed him to initiate in the movie script, direction and edition and, in 1961, along with the work of the news, he produced his first documental. He studied Movie Direction in the Superior Institute of Movie in Moscow, URSS and, during that time, he carried out journalist works, shootings for the APN and two dramatic shorts in the studios of the Movie Institute: Yo, en Moscu with 20 minutes and Talento with 30 minutes, movie version of a Chejov`s story which received a prize in the 5th Festival of Movie of institution. Upon coming back to Cuba, he joined the ICAIC, in the department of scientific-popular documentals, turning into one of the most important documental makers of the country. He has participated in several festivals and he is a member of the UNEAC and the General Society of Authors of Spain.
