Biografía:
Havana, 1945 He got his degree in Art History, in the University of Havana. In 1961, he began to work in the Cuban Institute of Art and Movie Industry. He has been cameraman and photography director of more than 80 documental and fiction films. He later started as producer of short films. Since 1984, he is the director and scriptwriter of documental films. He has participated in courses and workshop on photography, performance and actor’s direction and he has also given courses and conferences on photography and the production od documentals. His work has received national prizes awarded by the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba, the Union of Journalists, the Catholic Office and other. He has also been awarded in international events such as the CEDALC prize in Trento, Italy, the Quijote prize of the International Ferderation of Movie Clubs.
