Biografía:
San Jose, 1957 Leda Astorga got her degree in Fine Arts in the University of Costa Rica. She is a sculptor who, traditionally, makes her work with clay, putty, wood or any other technique, but always since the three-dimensional caricature perspective. Main exhibitions: Central Bank Museum, 1999: "Imagenes de mujeres". Museum of Costa Rican Art, Julian Marchena Hall, 1998: Retrospective 1978-1998 "Reunion de familia". National Center of Science and Culture, National Gallery, 1995: II Biennal of Sculpture of the CCR. Museum of Contemporary Art and Design, 1995: ""Costa Rica en las Bienales Internacionales 1994"". She received the Sculpture National Prize "Aquileo J. Echeverria"", in 1999.
