Biografía:
San Jose, 1954 Fabio Herrera was born in Costa Rica, in 1954. he entered at the University of Costa Rica in 1972 and, in 1977, he studied graphic design in Massana School, in Barcelona, Spain. In 1980, he studied the Intaglio of Creagraf in the Fine Arts School of the Costa Rican University. His most important exhibitions are: 1997: Joan Prats Gallery, Nueva York ""A Child's View. 1996: Costa Rican Art Museum, San Jose ""Signo, Gesto y Materia. 1995: Joan Prats Gallery, Nueva York ""Nuevas telas y obras en papel”. His work has been part of several collective exhibitions such as: 1996: Frechen, Germany III Art Triennial; Chungsen Gallery of Taipei, Taiwan ""Central American Art""; Pireus Municipal Theater in Greece: "Contemporary Painters of Costa Rica.” 1995: Bruselas Botanic Garden, Belgic ""Centroamerica Hoy"". 1992: Glakasten Marl Museum, Germany "Kunst aus Costa Rica.” 1991: Nagoya, Japan Latin Art Gallery. 1990: Canning House, London, England "Arte de Costa Rica"". Among the prizes received he has: Honorable Mention of the V International Prize of Engraving, 1991, Taiwan. Honorable Mention IV Biennal L&S 1990, of Costa Rican Painting. Gold Medal National Hall of Watercolor 1994. Gold Medal in the III Annual Hall of Fine Arts, San Jose, Costa Rica.
