In Colombia there are numerous rivers that descend from the Andes, and they are part of the great river basin of the Orinoco.
Se localiza en la Provincia de Guanacaste, en el Cantón de Santa Cruz. Playa de arenas blancas, mar abierto de fuerte oleaje. Con una longitud de 430 m y 16 a 20 m de ancho. Posee gran belleza, con promontorios rocosos separando una playa de otra. Presenta escasa vegetación, y un pequeño parche de mangle y estero. Playa destinada al sol, mar, caminatas, fotografía y buceo a nivel profesional. Se debe tomar precauciones en el área sur de la playa.
