An agreement that will improve the quality standards of tourist services for domestic and foreign visitors in Machu Picchu was signed by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) and the commune.
According to Edgar Vásquez,holder of Mincetur, the district of Machu Picchu Pueblo, in Cusco, will benefit from training and interventions, as well as improved signage, which will improve tourist services.
He added that the agreement will improve quality standards in tourist services for domestic and foreign visitors that visit Machu Picchu, as well as those who perform other tourist activities.
The Inca Citadel is included in the list of wonders of the world alongside the Chinese Wall, the Taj Mahal, the city of Petra in Jordan, the Roman Colosseum, among others.
