Le Diner en Blanc for the first time in Cuba with 500 guests

The gardens of the National Hotel of Cuba welcomed around 500 guests of various nationalities in the first "Le Dîner en Blanc" (dinner in white), which is held on the island and is a well-known mass picnic initiated 30 years ago in Paris, France.

All dressed in white around the tables located in the large courtyard of the facility, with a beautiful view of the Havana Malecon, the attendees, mostly from the United States, France, Japan, Puerto Rico and Cuba, among others, enjoyed that dinner that gathers friends.

In an atmosphere enlivened by Cuban rhythms and with a menu of exquisite dishes, varied cocktails, champagne, wines and rum, the attendees shared this Saturday night in this social event that has a global character.

The celebration of this dinner has been a tribute to Havana in the year in which it celebrates the 500th anniversary of its foundation, and according to statements to the press by François Pasquier, who devised this sui generis event, it became a privilege that the headquarters was the National Hotel, as it is considered one of the best hotels in the world.

Holding this event in the Cuban capital is, without a doubt, an acknowledgement that it is a safe and propitious tourist destination for event and incentive tourism, as stated by the directors of the Ministry of the Leisure Industry.

Le Diner en Blanc has been celebrated in the 30 years of its existence in more than 80 cities around the world, such as Tokyo, Madrid, Montreal, New York and the city of Paris itself, which on June 3 hosted the celebration for the thirtieth anniversary of so unusual invitation with 17 thousand guests from around the world.

This unique picnic originated in 1988 in Paris when its creator, François Pasquier, invited a group of friends who for many years had not seen a meeting in the Bois de Boulogne restaurant.
