Jamaica to Host Caribbean Travel Marketplace Conference

The Caribbean Travel Marketplace conference, organized by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association, will be held from next 29 to 31 at the Montego Bay Convention Center in Jamaica.

More than 1,000 delegates from 26 countries in the area and customers from nearly 20 markets around the world will attend what is the Caribbean's premier travel conference.

Edmund Bartlett, Minister of Tourism of Jamaica, acknowledged that the hosting of this event is an achievement for his country, and expressed the assurance of the contribution of significant benefits.

Frank Comito, executive director and general manager of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association, stated that they hope to offer participants a high-quality program to interact with industry colleagues and promote travel to our region.

In Jamaica, travelers who attend conventions are well received at the Convention Center of Montego Bay, with an extension of 50,000 square meters and may constitute one of the most significant examples of creating the perspective to the visitor of combining that alternation of work and pleasure.

This Caribbean island aims to reach 5 million tourists by 2020, which can represent revenues of about $5 billion.
