The French company Accor aspires to grow in hotel facilities in Colombia, and turn that nation in a long terminto one of its important squares in South America, after Brazil.
The aim is to complete the 100 hotels, although currently the company has only 17, and other nine in development, with a focus on lifestyle marches.
According to statements to the press by Franck Pruvost, Accor’s General Manager for Hispanic South America, they will continue to focus mainly on the ibis hotel market.
Pruvost recognized that the plan is to reach 30 hotels quickly, but we think there is a potential to reach 50 or 100 in a medium and long terms.
They also aim to strengthen their offer in cities such as Bogotá, Medellin, Cartagena and Barranquilla, where the Ibis Budget hotel will open in the second semester.
The manager reported that they seek to grow through strategic alliances with sector participants and partners, through their own investments in major cities.
