The twentieth edition of the Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange fair (DATE), will be held from March 26 to 28 at the Blue Mall, organized by the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (ASONAHORES), in order to promote and market the Dominican tourism offer.
According to Paola Rainieri de Diaz, ASONAHORES president, DATE has contributed to the sustained increase in Dominican tourism activity, and has been a very important factor in achieving an average annual growth of more than 6% in the last 10 years, higher than regional and world growth.
She recalled that at that stage the Dominican Republic received more than 44 million international tourists.
In the twentieth edition of the Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange fair was decided to test a new platform to establish meetings and better contribute to business exchange.
This event will take place in an area of more than 3,000 square meters, will cover more than 140 stands and during its sessions several companies in the sector will receive DATE Awards, there will be conferences and talks and social activities will take place in different hotel facilities in Punta Cana, too.
