Latin America is a young continent in regards to the rest of the world, where the sector of events and incentives is well established; so we want to professionalize in order to be able to compete as pole, said Pablo Weil, President of the Federation of Entities Congress and Allied Organizers of Latin America (Cocal), in Havana.
During a masterly conference in the context of the 39th International Tourism Fair of Cuba, FITCuba 2019, which takes place in San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress, he spoke of the need to highlight the essences of each people, ask ourselves what we are, what are the characteristics of our profile, and take advantage of the dialectics of miscegenation to grow.
The president of Cocal emphasized the importance of working to be one, and to be competitive with the Asian and European pole, but for that, it is necessary to raise the professional level and the quality of the services, he said.
He recognized as added values of Latin America in order to become an important pole for the realization of events and incentives, the possibility of constituting a great melting pot, and the ability of Latinos to smile and be creative
He included among the characteristics of the region its gastronomy, which is recognized by being abundant, colorful, to have many ingredients and forms of cooking.
The modality of Events and Incentives is dedicated to FITCuba 2019, as well as to Havana on the 500th Anniversary of its foundation, and to Spain as guest country of honor.
