Porto Alegre, 1939 Moacir Scliar graduated as a doctor, in spite the fact that he soon began to pay attention to Literature, above all for the same uneasiness of the narrators emerged around the editorial movement, who pretended to represent in the 60s the regional mean of the country and the drama in which his people lives. His novels and stories are written without any formal trick in the line of the journalistic chronicle, among them he has the following titles: “Histórias de Médico em Formação” (1962) y “O Carnaval dos Animais” (1968), stories; “A Guerra no Bom Fim” (1972), “O Exército de um Homem Só” (1973) and “Os Deuses de Raquel” (1978), short novels; and “O Ciclo das Águas” (1977) y “Mês de Cães Danados” (1977).
