This legal consultant, theater director and writer began to write in his home town, where he shared his literary interests with other young creators, such as Fayad Jamis and Tomas Alvarez. He was arrested due to his participation in the clandestine fight against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista and he later joined the Rebeld Army in the Escambray, where he became captain. After ge triumph of the Revolution, he graduated in Laws in the University of Havana, and he became into a legal consultant in the Department of the Interior. He has contributed in La Gaceta de Cuba and Casa de las Americas. He has been a theatre director.
