Havana, 1948 He graduated in 1970 in Politic Sciences in the University of Havana. He began to work in the Institute of Art and the Movie Industry (ICAIC) in 1968 as Writer of Critics and Articles on Movie for the main publications of the country. As part of his work he has participated in the Direction of Seminaries on Movie in the University of Havana and he gave movie workshops in different countries. His first documental as director was "Libertad para Luis Corbalan". He occupied the charge of Deputy Director of the ICAIC Latin American News and he made several editions of it. He is a founder of the International School of Movie and Television of San Antonio de los Baños, where he has worked as professor, deputy director and head of the direction professorship. He has participated in several international events (Spain, Hungary, URSS, Germany, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, and Switzerland) as Jury and membe of delegation. He is a member of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and the General Society of Authors of Spain (SGAE). He received the distinctions "Por la Cultura Nacional" and "Sello de Laureado" as recognition of his remarkable contribution to the development of the Cuban artistic and literary culture.
