The company Iberostar will consolidate its growth during 2019 supported by hotels located in tourist destinations in the Caribbean, after a 9% growth in turnover from the previous year globally.
Fin Ackermann, Iberostar's corporate commercial director, expressed confidence in this increase, as the company has about 14,000 rooms in the Caribbean distributed mainly in Cuba, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
Currently, the company is finalizing the opening of its first hotel in Aruba.
Iberostar represents one of the largest companies in the Caribbean region, along with Melia, AMResorts, Riu, Bahia Principe and Barcelo.
Concerning the European market, Ackermann said that they invested 500 million euros in the re-positioning of hotels in Spain and now they are in a more comfortable situation because they have a differentiated product compared to the competition.
