Attractive proposals from the Gastrocult 2019 Academic Workshop

The renowned Peruvian cuisine, for its flavor and variety, captures the attention of participants this Wednesday in the Gastrocult 2019 Academic Workshop, which takes place at the recently opened Grand Packard Hotel in the Cuban capital.

This event has the presence of specialists from five countries and on its second day is also of interest the master class on Cuban pastries and a cultural lunch with four hands that will offer the Spanish chef Miguel Angel Jimenez and the popular Cuban singer Haila Maria Mompié.

Mompié will offer a concert with her orchestra, which will demonstrate the harmony that exists between gastronomy and culture, while reaffirming that cooking is also art and has as many styles and knowledge as plastic arts, music, dance, film and performing arts.

Nine titles to be presented at the XXVIII International Book Fair in Havana, next February, will make available to participants

the ArteChef publishing house of the Federation of Culinary Associations of Cuba.

Eddy Fernandez, its president, reported that the texts address the stylization in the kitchen, the crab, the kitchen of the central province of Ciego de Avila, and the history of emblematic sites of the capital as the Cuatro Caminos Market, among other issues.

Gastrocult 2019 will end on Thursday, January 10, after developing the program with the participation of chefs and artists from Mexico, Peru, Spain, India and Cuba and will launch the call for its second edition next year.
