Zuccardi Valle de Uco opened its doors six years ago in the Province of Mendoza and half of that time was awarded by The World's Best Vineyard as the best in the world. What to do there? We tell you in this article.

For the third consecutive time, The World's Best Vineyard recognized the famous Argentine winery, Zuccardi Valle de Uco, as the best in the world. The Mendoza wine paradise received the title awarded by a jury of 600 experts who selected the winners among more than 1,500 establishments.
What did they base their choice on? On the quality of the wines, of course - Finca Piedra Infinita Gravascal 2018, one of its malbecs, had achieved the highest possible score in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate magazine, "the 100 Parker points" - but they also evaluate factors such as gastronomy, the route, accessibility, atmosphere, attention, reputation and landscape. And what a landscape of infinite green vineyards under the Andes Mountains, right!
In the list of the best ten, the Argentine flag appears again with Catena Zapata in seventh place. But it doesn't stop there: Argentine names are present throughout the top 50. Trapiche in 18th place, El Enemigo in 24th place, Colomé from Salta in 35th place and SuperUco in 42nd place. There are six wineries from the country at the End of the World among the fifty best in the world.
As we already know, Argentina is a generous country. And if the best wine experience is in our house, of course we are going to share it. The Zuccardi Valle de Uco winery is open and offers activities for all the senses: tasting the flavors of its cuisine paired with the best wines in the world, admiring the panoramic view and photographing the noble and modern architecture of its winery are part of the plan.

Guided tours and tastings at the winery
There are several options to visit the winery and taste wines in the process. On one hand, the simplest: for only $10 approximately you can tour the establishment that, with or without glass in hand, has an immense charm.

Piedra Infinita was inaugurated in 2016 by the architect Fernando Raganato and, as its name suggests, pays homage to and symbolizes the naturalness of the surrounding landscape. Its design also won a distinction of its own in the year of its opening: the winery received the Gold Award for the best architecture and landscaping in the world by Best Of Wine Tourism. It respects Mendoza's environment, coexisting perfectly with its shapes, colors and textures. It is understood: carrying a camera is mandatory.

But if grape elixir is what it's all about -and of course that's what it's all about- the tasting options are the right ones. Distinguished by the types of wines chosen in each case, prices range from $20 to $62 approximately, depending on the series selected for tasting: Polígonos (the cheapest), Valle de Uco, Experiencia Terroir and Fincas, whose nuances reflect the particularities of each specific vineyard. In all cases a guided tour is also included.

Of course, don't forget to book in advance -at least one month in advance- because it is not surprising that places are sold out.

Lunch at its restaurant at the foot of the mountain.
The pleasure of the palate could not be complete without a good gastronomic menu. And as the best winery in the world, the quality of the recipes that star in the pairing are not far behind. The winery's restaurant invites you to sit at one of its tables at the foot of the mountain range to complete the experience and live a first-class banquet.

There are four courses with regional products, local flavors and gourmet touches: toasted bread and organic spinach puree, goat cheese mousse and pickled carrots as a first course, braised kid with vegetables in different formats and cooking to follow, grilled steak with mashed potatoes, pickled eggplants and pumpkin in clay oven as main course and quinces with Malbec (of course), olive ice cream, rosemary and candied walnuts as a sweet touch. Is your belly rumbling yet?

There are five alternatives to choose from, starting with the most economical one without pairing (approximately $60) and ending with the most luxurious option where you can taste the most awarded wines of the winery for $186.

You migth like Uco Valley, star of enotourism and high-end offers.
