Theatricals are manifest in the Tegucigalpa Dramatic Group, the San Pedro Theatrical Circle, La Fragua Theater, Camino Real Theater, Bamboo Theater Group and the National Theatrical Company.Sponsored by the Ministry of Education; the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports and the Hibueras Mixed Institute, there are theater seasons every year named after professor Jose Belisario Romero Alvarez. The contest kicked off back in 1974 and since then it has thrown hundreds of young talented artists to the limelight. This is equally rendered as a means of artistic expression suitable for highlighting civic and moral values in times of cultural adjustments that the population lacks and needs badly.
