Spanish is the official language, though some dialects are equally spoken like the misquito and xicaque. As far as religion is concerned, there’s freedom of creed. However, 94.2% of the population is Catholic, 1.3% is Protestant and the remaining 3.3% declares to be either atheists or worshippers of other cults.
