Music is present in a variety of rhythms and styles that stem from both religious and folksy features out of each and every local ethnic group.Guitars, snail shells, rattles and accordions are some of the musical instruments that accompany native dances. Some of these instruments are played by such groups as the National Group of Folkloric Dance and the Garifuna Folksy National Ballet.There are countless singers and songwriters who delight the world with their classics, semi-classic and pop-music compositions. During their tours around the country, young members of Honduras’s National Symphonic Orchestra plays an assortment of classical and local music.The April’s Aries Festival and the Festival of the Thrushes are two yearly musical festivals that draw scores of musicians and songwriters to the country.
