Manuel Antonio National Park is on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, in the province of Puntarenas, from tropical forests and beach to native birds of the region like scarlet macaws, toucans, motmots, parakeets, hawks and tanagers, but also monkeys, iguanas and armadillos.

It is located about 157 km south of the city of San Jose and 7 km to the south of the city of Quepos, between Damas and Matapalo. It has a 683 hectares on the land side and 55,000 hectares in the marine part
