The St. Kitts island runs across a mountain range whose highest peak is the 1,315-meter-high Mount Misery.The climate is tropical; temperature averages as high as 26,7 degrees.

Charlestown's population reaches 1.243 inhabitants (as to 1980). It's also Nevis' main port and hometown of 18th-Century U.S. politician and statesman, Alexander Hamilton.
St. Kitts is a land of fertile soils and enough water running down their rivers for growing sugar cane and cotton. Annual average rainfall goes up to 1,400 mm.
The archipelago is sprinkled with fertile soils and a large tropical jungle featuring countless varieties of vines and climbing trees.
Some of the well-known species are the hawk-bill turtle, conches, whitethroats, and the Caribbean monk seal. The Barbados raccoon, the West Indies tree duck, and the green turtle also roam the island.
