Foster Tourism Promotion in Central America Travel Market

The Ministry of Tourism of El Salvador along with 10 Salvadoran businessmen participated in the Central American Travel Market (CATM), the most important tourist marketing event for the region that took place this year in Guatemala.

Both the Salvadoran delegation and delegations from other nations of the region gave an incentive to the promotion and promotion of tourism and to the integration of Central American tourism.

During June 4th and 5th in the Industry Park,  the fair was held with participants and exhibitors from that geographical area and others from Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Holland, the United Kingdom, Taiwan and Israel.

The National Organizing Committee of CATM 2019 was led by the Guatemalan Tourism Institute (INGUAT) and the Guatemalan Tourism Chamber (CAMTUR).

It is estimated that during the fair 2,044 business appointments were made; which enable the generation of stocks for the region for about $18 million, from which around $5.4 million will be concentrated on Guatemala.
