In the region of San Agustín around 500 sculptured stones have been found which represents gods, human beings and animals, showing the religious traditions of this native group. Churches of that time were very interesting, especially Tunja andBogotá churches. The local craftsmen brought the influences of the Spanish, Mudejar style, which was developed in Spain between the 12 and 16 Centuries.
