United States of America

There are over 1,000 community schools and more than 2,000 colleges and universities in the United States. In almost all of the U.S. territory, illiteracy has been completely weeded out. As racial barriers began crumbling down, more African-Americans are now registered in institutions where the alumni is mostly white. These higher-education schools teach courses and subjects quite similar to those in college. This enables students to further their college education by taking four-year courses. Moreover, community colleges are really unique since they teach courses on general education, technical education, preparatory and training for those students who can start working immediately.Community schools graduate students with associated degrees after satisfactory completion of a two-year course. Students in colleges or universities taking a four-year full degree course do not receive associated degrees after completion of the first two years. These schools sometimes grant certifications of merit for completion of short technical training courses. Colleges and universities are either public or private.Public schools are bankrolled with federal government’s funds and are fully supported by it.
