Altagracia

Its area is 3,010.34 km² and has 112,396 inhabitants. Its agriculture is mainly based on cacao, sugar cane, plantains, swine and cattle raising. Red snapper and saurel fishing as well as fish pools are also part of their economy.
Among the main tourist areas are: Puerto Escondido, a small inlet where some rivulets of the area flow; Nisibón, a small town near to the cave with the same name, in the road from La Vacama to Las Lisas; Costa del Coco, a long beach area that has fine white sand and crystal clear waters and that includes Macao, Cortecito, Bávaro, Cabeza de Toro, Cabo Engaño, Punta Cana and Punta Juanillo beaches. This area has an international airport as well as a landing runway for jets, among other places.
