This is Jamaica’s main mountainous region, located 103 Km from Kingston. The island’s largest mountainous city and its fifth-biggest urban center, the city was founded in 1816 and named after Lord Mandeville, the Duke of Manchester’s son and governor of the parish. The original structures and architecture of that time are still preserved.
