In Guatemala is located an archaeological assembly formed by the ruins of Tikal, that was one of the most important centers of the first period of the first Mayan empire (320 to 987 dC).
The island of Curacao had a significant influx of tourists in the first four months of this year, which represents an increase of 17 percent in the number of travelers staying overnight compared to the same period last year, as reported by the Curacao Tourist Board (CTB).
The statistics show that in total 167,000 travelers stayed, from them 87,000 come from Europe and 42,000 from North America.
At the same time, 23,000 tourists traveled to Curacao from South American countries, the CTB said.
The largest sending markets are the Netherlands and the United States, with the highest reported figures.
Curacao belongs to Sotavento Islands Group, it is located to the South of the Antilles Sea, 50 km from the Northwest Coast of Venezuela and it has excellent beaches and more than 65 designated areas to practice diving, as well as hundreds of resorts and hotels.
