Bermuda

Bermuda was also touched by slavery. And the slaves who helped to make up the economy of the island kept their traditions and African heritage. Today the African dance and the music are alive and celebrated in many of their great festivals. The main African culture manifestation is the Gombey dance. In Bermuda in general art is very developed there are many groups of cultural institutions, events and artists. Annually there are important festivals of international character among which we can mention the International Movie Festival, and the International Jazz Festival.Many artisans and artists exhibit their works in galleries, open plazas the City Hall theater which is an important site of the group of Musical Theater Gilbert & Sullivan.
