Cuba Sends Medical Brigades to Belize to Combat COVID-19

Cuba supports Belize in its fight against COVID-19 with 58 doctors
general practitioners, nursing graduates, epidemiologists and
clinical laboratory and imaging technologists, members of the
International Contingent Specialized in Disaster Situations and
Serious Epidemics Henry Reeve.

In that nation, Cuban professionals will work from their
experience and professionalism in the face of this pandemic that is affecting
numerous countries in the world and they will have all the insurances
necessary, including means of protection, important for
to avoid the risk of infection.

On Wednesday, 25 collaborators left for Belize and this Thursday
33 will travel to complete the group of 58 specialists of the brigade
Cuban doctor.

Cuba is already collaborating in the battle against the coronavirus with
health partners in Jamaica, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Suriname,
Italy and Belize, and according to press reports also
will do so in other Caribbean nations such as Antigua and Barbuda and St. Kitts and Nevis,
Vincent and the Grenadines.
