At the center, within a square with white background, it can be seen the heraldry or coat of arms, wich consists in a palm tree crowned by the frigid cap, and below a trophy where reads the legend L'Union fait la force (Union makes strength).
The official hymn of Haití is La Dessalinienne. It was composed on 1904, in order to commemorate the centenarian of the independence. It was composed by two haitians, Justin Lhérisson (lyric) and Nicolas Geffrard (music). It´s integrated by five verses.
