Bermuda

When you admire the shine and the capricious colors of the buildings in Bermudas, it looks as if they had been inspired in storybooks. Mother Goose was not the inspiration as much as were the more forceful dictates of wind, weather, and the material available for the construction. Another attractive characteristic of the houses are their white roofs. Mark Twain called them “ice on a cake”. But they are not fantasies or enchantment. This is a necessity and a simple matter of getting functionality. The cleanness, the white roofs are used to capture the rain which is the only source of fresh water. In the same way that you are impressed by the picturesque of the beige houses, you can also be impressed by the government constructions the properties and the stone cathedrals.
