Colonial City in Santo Domingo Ready for Book Fair

The Colonial City will receive thousands of visitors from this Friday, when the XXII Edition of the International Book Fair of Santo Domingo 2019 begins, a cultural event for which arrangements are being made and in which thousands of people are expected to participate.

The cultural event, to be held from April 26 to May 5 at the Santo Domingo Fortress (Ozama), will have Puerto Rico as guest of honor, and the honored writer Virgilio Diaz Grullon.

According to the agenda of the event, 642 activities will be offered, including book presentations and sales, master lectures, gatherings, talks, workshops, debates and tributes, as well as a varied movie billboard, theater and other artistic expressions.

The event will be attended by local and foreign publishers, bookstores, universities, foundations, writers, academics, librarians, managers and related professionals, as well as cultural entities, companies and government institutions with projects involving books and literature.
