The XX Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange Fair (DATE 2019) will be held this Tuesday with the attendance of 742 international delegates representing numerous markets.
The most important event to promote Dominican tourism offer has in its program today a cocktail at The Grand Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real of Melia Hotels International, during which Paola Rainieri de Diaz, president of Asonahores, will welcome the participants.
In recent statements Rainieri de Diaz has recognized the positive influence of the Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange Fair to have in the last 10 years an average annual growth of more than 6%, higher than regional and global growth, as well as to record in two decades the arrival of more than 44 million international tourists.
In this twentieth edition of DATE more than 100 hotels will commercialize their rooms, and 1,382 commercial meetings are arranged to exchange business.
The fair is sponsored by the Tourism Ministry and takes place for the first time in BlueMall Puntacana, with the participation of more than 140 companies in an area of more than 3,000 square meters.
Representatives of several markets are present, including the United States, Russia, United Kingdom, Puerto Rico, Paraguay, Panama, Mexico, Spain, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Colombia, Chile, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Argentina and Germany.
