In Cuba Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall arrived in the Cuban capital on Sunday on an official visit until the 27th, the first of their British Highnesses to the Island.

On board of a plane of the Royal British Air Force the distinguished visitors arrived to the international airport Jose Marti, where Ana Teresita Gonzalez Fraga, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed them.

The royal couple went to the Revolution Square and laid a wreath on the statue of the National Hero Jose Marti in the Memorial that bears his name.

This Monday they will be received by President Miguel Diaz Canel, who will also offer them an official dinner and a tour of Havana's historic center is on the agenda.

On Tuesday they will visit the Photovoltaic Park of the Company Mariel Solar S.A. in the Special Zone of Mariel Development, and they will also enjoy a cultural gala in the Great Theater of Havana "Alicia Alonso", as well as they will know aspects of sustainable agriculture and will have an exchange with people who work in the private sector.

Before traveling to the Cayman Islands on Wednesday, Prince Charles will visit the Molecular Immunology Center, one of the emblems of biotechnology on the island.

The trip of Charles of England and his wife Camila constitutes a milestone in the deepening of the political dialogue between the two nations and contributes to the consolidation of bilateral relations.

Charles and Camila are touring several Caribbean islands, although their presence in Cuba will be the most extensive and the only official visit.
