Jose Carlos de Santiago, president of the Excelencias Group, gave a donation to the vice-president of the Provincial Government of Havana, Tatiana Viera, to help compensate for the damage caused by the tornado that affected municipalities in this capital last January.
On behalf of the company he runs, De Santiago gave the contribution and expressed his interest "that the government continue to trust and seek the modest and humble support of our group for any endeavor that Havana needs.
Viera acknowledged that "Any gesture in this direction is very necessary, and pointed out that the tornado came to slow the pace we were taking ahead for Havana's 500th anniversary.
The vice-president of the Provincial Government of Havana conveyed to De Santiago the gratitude of the President of the Government, Reynaldo Zapata, for the gesture of the Excelencias Group.
