In 2019, Peru predicts a 15% increase in the number of tourism service providers registered on the platform of the Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry (Mincetur), and is preparing to implement actions throughout the year to achieve this.
That nation increased by 17,200 the number of tourism service providers, including travel and tourism agencies, restaurants, lodging establishments, tourist and mountain guides.
This total is part of the National Board of Directors of Qualified Tourist Service Providers, which can be found on the Mincetur website.
Liz Chirinos, Vice Minister of Tourism of the South American country, reported that since the Plan to Support the Formalization of the Tourism sector came into effect in 2016, when it had registered 12,448 tourism service providers so far, the number has increased by 38%.
He recognized that having formal and competitive tourism services will allow visitors to enjoy, without any setback, their trip to Peru.
