Cuban Peninsula of Ancon to increase hotel plant

Manuel Marrero, Cuban Minister of Tourism, announced that two large five-star hotels are in the process of being built on the Ancon Peninsula, which is located at about 12 kilometers south of the Cuban city of Trinidad, Caribbean Museum City.

In his Twitter account, the head of the leisure industry, made the announcement when referring to the presentation of the Development Plan of Trinidad city ( Sancti Spiritus province) until 2030 to the Cuban president, Miguel Diaz-Canel, during a government visit to that territory of central Cuba.

The plan will reach about 2,000 rooms. "Two hotels are currently being completed and two large five-star hotels in Ancon are in the process of being built.

Trinidad celebrates this week the 505th anniversary of its foundation and constitutes a city of colonial architecture highly preserved and owner of strong traditions, a starting point for nature and nautical tours.

In addition it takes on new strength with renovation plans to allow better tourism, while preserving the history of the place and its countless charms, noted specialists.

In 1988, the United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organization registered Trinidad's Historic Centre, along with Valle de los Ingenios, an area where sugar flourished with the arrival of Iznaga, Borrell and Brunet families in the middle of the 19th century, on the World Heritage List.
